What happens to my existing credit if I don’t recharge, prior to card expiry?

The credit remaining in the account will be forfeited when there is no recharge before its expiry date. However, the forfeited credit will be refunded automatically if a recharge is made within the following period:-

Credit Refund (within 30 days of the expiry date)

Within 0 to 7 days – 100%
Within 8 to 14 days – 80%
Within 15 to 30 days – 50%
> 30 days – 0%

What happens if I don’t recharge after reaching expiry date?

Once your credit expires, a grace period of 30 days applies. You can still perform recharge within this grace period so your account will be reactivated. If there is no recharge within these 30 days (grace period), the account status becomes ‘Deactivate’.

What happen if my account becomes ‘Deactive’?

The subscriber number is usually recycled after it has been DEACTIVE for more than 2 months. Bulk recycling is performed on a monthly basis.
However, if the number has not been included in the bulk recycling list, you may repurchase the same number at a cost of $30 at any DSTCom counters.

What else should I know about managing my credit balance?

  • The credit accumulation period, regardless of the number of cards recharged, will be accumulated to a maximum term of 180 days. The existing balance will be added on to the recharged credit.
  • When your credit falls below $1, SMS notification will be received to remind you to recharge your card.
  • If you have received an SMS or Voice prompts informing you that your credit balance will expire on 1st July 2008, then the actual cut off date is at 23:59:59 mid night on 1 st July 2008.

What happens if my SIM Card is blocked / faulty?

If your SIM Card is blocked, you may refer to your Starter Pack to check the Pin unblocked code. (Refer to slip attached to the User Guide). If your Sim card is permanently blocked, (i.e. more than 3 wrong attempts to enter the unblock code) you may get a SIM Card replacement from any of DSTCOM Counters at a cost of $10. Your credit balance in the old SIM Card will be transferred to your new SIM Card account.

What happens if my SIM Card lost or stolen?

You must notify DSTCare 151 or DSTCom counters to temporary suspend your mobile number. DSTCare 151 operates 24 hours. If you wish to get a replacement of your SIM Card with the same number, you may do so at a cost of $10. Your credit balance in your old SIM Card will be transferred to your new SIM Card account.

What happens if my Easi Recharge Card expired?

You must notify DSTCare 151 or DSTCom counters to temporary suspend your mobile number. DSTCare 151 operates 24 hours. If you wish to get a replacement of your SIM Card with the same number, you may do so at a cost of $10. Your credit balance in your old SIM Card will be transferred to your new SIM Card account.

Why can’t I sent or received SMS to or from certain overseas countries?

Failure to send/receive any international SMS is interdependent of the other party’s operator service. Please call DSTCare 151 to check if the International Operator concerned has signed a Roaming/SMS agreement with DSTCom.
